Bristol's leading a capella choir

Riff Raff, Bristol’s leading a cappella pop and rock choir, will be performing at the Tobacco Factory Market on Sunday 15th May. The community market is a weekly event comprising of around 40 food and craft stalls with a strong focus on local, organic and ecofriendly produce. On the day itself the market also welcomes Retroville a vintage and retro market as part of a monthly extended event that features a range of unique stalls.

 

Riff Raff Choir in Bristol

 

Bristol's Riff Raff Choir was originally co-founded by Elaine Wilson and Joe Blench. Performing a wide selection of pop, rock and funk, the choir meets four times a week at four locations around Bristol, ensuring as many people as possible have the opportunity to get involved.

 

The first group started in Clifton and since then Riff Raff choir has gone from strength to strength, with groups meeting in Southville, Bishopston and Fishponds. With around 250 members over the various sessions, ages range from 15 to 70, though the majority of the choir are in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

 

Tobacco Factory Market in Bristol

 

As well as the Tobacco Factory Market, Riff Raff will be singing at a range of outdoor fairs and festivals this Spring and Summer. At all these events, the choir will be collecting for Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal.

 

On 24 th July, Colston Hall is hosting Riff Raff’s Grand Night Out which promises to be a night to remember, with the choir performing pop and rock songs from across the decades. This event will also raise funds for Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal. Tickets are on sale via the Colston Hall website now.
