Dead Dog In A Suitcase and other Love Songs at The Bristol Old Vic in October

Fasten your seat belts; it’s going to be one hell of a night! Dead Dog In A Suitcase (and other love songs) is to be the latest alternative production at Bristol’s Old Vic, running between the 8th and 25th October.

Held aloft on a sea of critical acclaim and well renowned audience amazement, the Cornish Kneehigh theatre company bring their latest anarchic, bold and sassy production to Bristol Old Vic.

Based on John Gay's classic musical satire, the Beggar's Opera, Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs) is busting with wit, wonder and weirdness. Kneehigh presents an extraordinary cast of actors and musicians, cavorting their way through this twisted morality tale of our times.

The gorgeous and powerful live score created by award-winning and pioneering conductor, composer and radio broadcaster Charles Hazlewood, combines trip-hop and folk, Renaissance polyphony and psychedelia, and ska, grime and dubstep, echoing Gay’s original by plundering the sounds of our times.

Gaining 4 stars in reviews from The Guardian and The Times, Dead Dog In A Suitcase (and other love songs) looks to be an exciting, shocking and thought-provoking performance.

Suitable for 14+: This show contains loud bangs, smoke, strong language and some scenes unsuitable for children.

Tickets are available from www.bristololdvic.org.uk.
