Beans on Toast gig in Bristol at The Fleece on 5 December 2014

Posted on: 24 Oct 2014

Beans on Toast will visit The Fleece in Bristol on Friday 5 Dcember 2014 as part of their UK tour, supported by Will Varley and Lori Campbell.

With a unique collection of songs that encompass themes of love, religion, politics, class, drugs and the pure exhilaration of being alive, barefooted, folk-singing troubadour Beans on Toast truly is a cult legend. His inimitable blend of simple songs, no-holds-barred incisive wit and self-deprecating humour has earned him legions of adoring fans.

His start to the year was pretty sensational – a debut American headline tour, a series of shows with Flogging Molly, performing to over 100,000 people in one week, and opening Frank Turner’s UK stadium tour in February.

But his heart is never far from home and, with an energised spring in his step, the master of the charmingly simple but profoundly affecting folk song is back on the UK live circuit with a real treat for his Bristol music fans when he plays The Fleece on Friday 5 December. The gig – appropriately called The Next Album Tour 2014 - coincides with the release of his sixth studio album and his December birthday.

Along with the release of his digital single ‘Keep You’ and his ‘Best of Toast Pressed on Vinyl’ flying off the shelves on Independent Record Store Stay, the sky’s the limit for this matchless bard of folk.
