But things don’t go too smoothly for Calamity, as everyone in town favours the new girl and she struggles to keep her jealousy and pride in check. It takes her long standing enemy Wild Bill Hickok to make her see sense, and realise her Secret Love. Shows at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday night as well as a Saturday afternoon matinee at 2.30pm.

Strictly Balti at The Brewery Theatre until 25th October 2014 (Tobacco Factory Theatres)

Bristol’s effervescent, charismatic Saikat Ahamed returns to the Brewery Theatre in Bristol to tell his own story of growing up between conflicting cultures. "We thought dance class was good, we thought dance class was English. We were wrong. Now we see you are fully English, because you argue with your parents. In Bangladesh this wouldn’t happen. Well you’ve done what we never could. You’ve left Bangladesh behind." Ballroom dancing is not the only humiliation heaped on Saikat by his ambitious parents. There’s catechism and Latin too. And no-one gets his name right, ever.
