The Happiness Project returns to The Galleries in Bristol in March 2015

Posted on: 28 Feb 2015

The Happiness Project will be returning to The Galleries shopping centre in Bristol throughout March 2015.

Entering its third year, The Happiness Project returns to The Galleries shopping centre on its mission to promote public mental health. Throughout March, the project will take steps to improve people’s daily lives with free workshops and events.

The Happiness Project was formed by local artists in 2010, offering free creative exercises that invite participants to use art and discussion to explore their mental wellbeing and happiness. Anyone who takes part is shown how to apply the concepts of positive psychology in day to day life.

Workshops have so far had participation numbers in excess of 3000, with 97% of participants reporting the workshops to be very useful. The ideas taught can involve improved diet, volunteering, increased physical activity, setting goals and meditation.

A Light Box Participant comments: “Thank you. You have made a big difference to my life. Coming here has helped me cope with a difficult time.”

To take part or experience the workshops for yourself this March, visit the Happiness Project shop in The Galleries Shopping Centre in Broadmead.
