Bristol International Kite Festival on The Downs from 22-23 August 2015

Posted on: 19 Apr 2015

To borrow a song from Mary Poppins, let's go fly a kite. In this case quite literally when the Bristol International Kite Festival comes to Durdham Downs on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August 2015.

**THE NEXT KITE BRISTOL KITE FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD IN 2017**

They skies over Bristol will be awash with a rainbow of magnificent colour with spectacular displays of 3D animals, traditional Japanese fighting kites, power kites and synchronised sport kite routines.

But it's not all happening up in the skies - there's plenty to keep everyone entertained on ground level too. Kids can enjoy fun kite making workshops and bouncy castles, and there will be awesome displays of artistic banners flags, banners and a wind orchestra.

As well as getting the chance to fly your own kites you can also watch professional kite flyers perform their aerial acrobatics in their special arenas.

The Bristol International Kite Festival will also be taking part in Big Green Week from 13 - 21 June 2015, and supporting the myriad of Bristol 2015 Green Capital celebrations throughout the year.

For more information and further updates as they're announced, go to the Bristol International Kite Festival Facebook page and website, and follow them on Twitter.
