Bristol Sports Update - Bristol Rovers Football Club

Posted on: 19 Apr 2015

Bristol Rovers could only manage a draw away at Dover in their penultimate league game in the Vanarama Conference and it could well cost them dearly as they are now relying on Barnet slipping up on Saturday.

Barnet are one point ahead but with a vastly superior goal difference. With only one automatic promotion place up for grabs Bristol Rovers must win on Saturday against Alfreton Town, who are themselves in a relegation fight, to have any chance of the title. Barnet are at home against Gateshead in their last game and they were victors 2-0 in the corresponding away fixture earlier in the season. Gateshead, with nothing really to play for need to at least hold Barnet to a draw.

Not all doom and gloom though as if Bristol Rovers don't finish top they still have their chances in the play offs.

Remaining fixture:

Saturday 25 April 2015, 5.15pm kick off : HOME - Bristol Rovers v Alfreton Town
