Moo, Chew, Poo Open Day at Yeo Valley Farms near Bristol this summer

Posted on: 30 May 2015

Yeo Valley are hosting a special experience day at their farm in Blagdon, near Bristol, across four Wednesdays this summer.

Since 1961, Yeo Valley Organic Farm has been a home-grown family company with an emphasis on organic and free range food. The farm gardens are beautifully decorated, with miles of land covered in various plants, flowers, trees, and rivers. On one Wednesday a month, the farm will be opened up for these special Moo Chew and Poo experience days, which include a farm walk, a garden tour, a cookery demo, and a hearty home-cooked meal from the restaurant.

Moo – head out with one of the knowledgeable farm team; get right down to ‘grass roots’; hear about where your food comes from, and get an insight into why Yeo Valley are so passionate about Organics, the countryside, and of course their wonderful cows.

Chew – Yeo Valley's Fodder chef will demonstrate seasonal recipes & share insider tips before you sit down to a delicious organic lunch. Included in your day is morning coffee, 2 course lunch & afternoon tea all served in the garden cafe.

Poo – The YOG (Yeo Valley Organic Garden) team love to show off the 6 ½ acre garden. They are always delighted to share their experiences, and you will be able to pick their brains on all things horticultural including organic veg growing & the ‘closed system’ composting (the poo-ey bit!)

The event days will run from 10am to 4pm, and cost £65 per person, which includes the morning coffee, 2 course lunch, and afternoon tea.

This event runs only on the following days:

10th June 2015

8th July 2015

12th August 2015

23rd September 2015
