Bristol's World Naked Bike Ride on the 27th June

Posted on: 14 Jun 2015

Bristol’s turn at the World Naked Bike Ride will take place on the 27th June, starting at the Full Moon Pub.

Join a celebration of bikes and bodies, highlighting the vulnerability of cyclists on our crowded roads; a peaceful, powerful demonstration against car culture and oil-dependency.

Although nudity is not compulsory, it is allowed and encouraged! The theme is ‘as bare as you dare’, so come along with pride, and cycle your way to body positivity.

Along the way there will be opportunities to have your body painted, buy and create flags and banners, horns sounded and whistles blown! Join a celebration of bikes and bodies, highlighting the vulnerability of cyclists on our crowded roads; a peaceful, powerful demonstration against car culture and oil-dependency. The bike ride will be congregating in the Full Moon courtyard from 1pm for bike and body decoration; volunteers will decorate and fortify anyone coming before departure at 2pm.

Come ready for a flat, 4-mile family-friendly ride through Bristol city centre, finishing back at the Full Moon at 4pm. The ride is completely free to participate in, and is yet another sustainable vehicle inspired event for Bristol’s European Green Capital year. This is a unique experience for everyone involved, and will certainly make the city a more colourful place!
