Years & Years announce new single and Bristol tour date

Posted on: 03 Jul 2015

Years & Years are yet to release their long-awaited debut album, but have successfully built chart-topping notoriety with their single ‘King’.  Following up from this incredible summer hit, the boys have announced a further single, ‘Shine’, which is due to be released on the 5th July, and their hotly-anticipated debut album ‘Communion’ will finally be available on the 10th July.

Olly, Emre, and Mikey have had an incredibly successful year, bursting into the spotlight and being hailed as one of 2015’s most exciting prospects. The band describe themselves as ‘soulful electronic pop’, and cite Flying Lotus, Radiohead and Diplo as their main influences.

The group have won the prestigious award of BBC Sound of 2015 in January, and were nominated for the Critics Choice Award at the Brit Awards 2015. They recently performed a stunning set at Glastonbury festival, some of which you can watch below:

Their pre-album tour saw them playing for thousands of people, and two sold out crowds at Shepherds Bush Empire. The new set of dates in October includes a Bristol date on the 21st October at O2 Academy but tickets have already sold out! If you are interested in buying tickets, keep an eye on the Event Page on Facebook for people selling.
