Frankie and the Heartstrings free instore gig at Rise Bristol on the 15th July 2015

Frankie and the Heartstrings will be performing a free live show at Rise Records in Bristol on the 15th July 2015.

The intimate venue of Rise is perfect for Frankie and the Heartstrings, a band who are humble and talented in equal measure. So far ignoring the lure of bright lights, the band have sufficed to set up their own record store in Sunderland, taking over the husk of a redundant tourist office, bringing a wave of much needed artistic interest to their city. So far, the venture has been supported by Franz Ferdinand, The Vaccines, and James Bay who all have played live sets inside the store. Mirroring that, Frankie and the Heartstrings will be setting up their instruments at the back of Rise, settling into a close and genuine set that is free to all.

Their new album, Decency is available for pre-order and will be released on the 10th July through Pop Sex Ltd. This is the band’s third album, and no doubt a return to their roots after some soul searching. Expect introspective beauty gently cut out of social and political commentary that is widely accurate and devastatingly relevant. Hanging onto the pop sound of 2013s These Days Run Away, Decency will also feature a more embellished, gentle, and thought provoking sound that uses hooks and melodies to cultivate some of the band’s strongest work to date.

Recorded at the tail end of last summer at Leeds' Suburban Homes studio with MJ (Hookworms) at the controls, 'Decency ' also sees Futurehead Ross Millard on extra-curricular duty with guitar and vocal artistry making his recording debut as a fully-fledged Heartstring.

The show is completely free, and copies of the album will be available to buy and get signed. Just turn up on the night and enjoy! For more details visit Rise’s website.
