This August Bank Holiday there’s plenty going on for all in Bristol. At 365 we’ve scratched our heads and managed to come up with a select few highlights for the 3-day-weekend.

Avoid the packed motorways and nose-to-tail A roads this weekend - stay in Bristol! Our fine city has plenty of events and attractions for people of all ages. This is by no means a definitive list, there’s so much going on that would be impossible… just check out our packed What’s On calendar for proof of that!

Exciting Sword Fighting Combat Shows at Berkeley Castle.

 

The much anticipated Summer Festival at The Lanes.

 

The amazing Jazz Festival all weekend at The Old Duke.

 

Catch some great Live Music at Viva La Mexicana Mexican restaurant.

 

Check out the excellent The Foundation by Patrick Staff and Gewässerzeiten by Reto Pulfer at Spike Island.

 

 

Monday 31 August

 

Excellent Sword Fighting Combat Shows at Berkeley Castle.

 

Cheap Drink Day at The Bag of Nails from noon until 11pm. All cask ales under 5% are £2.50. All other cask ales are also on offer.

 

A Bunch of Japes. Superb comedy night at Smoke and Mirrors.

 

Storyteller at Berkeley Castle. Great kids entertainment.

 

The amazing Jazz Festival all weekend at The Old Duke.

 

Live Music at The Plough Inn, Pilning. Tony B plays to the assembled masses.

 

Get Into Volleyball with this excellent free event at Greville Smith Park.
