Fink at The Anson Rooms on the 15th October 2015

Fink will be performing at The Anson Rooms on Thursday 15th October 2015.

Fink thrives on live performance, seeing it as a chance to exhibit their incredible songwriting style to a wide audience of people. The latest album, Hard Believer, was released in 2014, their first release on R’COUP’D, the new label created by the members. Fin Greenall provides vocals and guitar, while Tim Thornton provides drums, and Guy Whittaker on bass. The sound of the album is bluesy and urban, inspired in part by life’s twists and turns, documenting the hard-won triumphs and bitter-sweet experiences.

Hard Believer is inspired by a wide range of influences, marking Fink as an artist at the peak of his creativity. The album switches from folk to electronica, blues to rock, a carefully crafted masterpiece that will see Fink lifted to the highest ranks of modern day songwriters. To further this experimentation, the band released Horizontalism in 2015, a selection of dubs from Hard Believer, with a decidedly more mysterious feel. The re-working of the songs gives them a murky sound, with colossal waves of ominous sound giving way to sonic intimacy. This darkly beautiful ambience is a surprising twist for fans, but provides a gorgeous new avenue for the band.

They will be playing at The Anson Rooms in Bristol on the 15th October. To buy tickets, click here. For more information on the band, visit their official website.
