Tokyo World in Bristol

Tokyo World can trace its roots back to 2001, when the original concept for this particular type of music festival in Bristol was born out of the lack of anything similar in the city. Having seen the huge success of the 2014 festival at Eastville Park, the 2015 incarnation returns to the same venue, though on an even larger scale. This increase in size offers the ability to build creative sets and installations. Each creation will reflect the ethos of Tokyo World making the whole experience even more memorable.

The six stages are:

Live - Live artists from Hip Hop, Breakbeat, Drum and Bass, Garage and Electronic music.

Shapes - Teaming world-class bookings with elaborate, otherworldly décor.

Alfresco Disco - A Bristol institution with a winning mix of the following: jaw dropping locations, secret lineups that are musically diverse and expertly programmed - plus award-winning visuals and decor.

The Blast - Usually based at Motion, The Blast aim to showcase the best and most exciting artists both established and up and coming throughout the whole range of bass music including Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Grime, House and more.

Tokyo Hi Fi - Tokyo World’s most recent project. The main focus is sound system culture, electronic and dubstep music.

Mutiny - Started off in the late 90s as a Jump Up / Jungle event in Bristol. It has now moved on to a predominantly techy /solid Drum and Bass event. This year will see the Mutiny stage moving into a larger field following the huge success of 2014.
