Posted on: 04 Feb 2016

Before you give up anything for Lent, or start hunting around for your biggest frying pan, join the staff at Leigh Woods in Bristol this pancake day for a chance to cook pancakes over a campfire in the gorgeous surroundings of Bristol’s finest National Trust property. This event will see families and couples warming up around a big communal fire, using up the traditional ingredients to make some perfect pancakes - both for them, and to help the birds through the last bit of winter!

As part of their “50 things” initiative, where children (and adults) are encouraged to try 50 unusual and interesting outdoor activities, this event should help to cross a few off the list! Cooking over a campfire is on there, and people of all ages will be assisted and shown how to flip the perfect woodland pancake.

Book your tickets online or over the phone to ensure the staff have enough equipment and then just drop in any time between 10am and 2pm on the day and get creative as you dress the trees with edible delights for the birds. This pancake day will be educational and fun!

To ensure your place on the day and to book tickets, which are £3.50 per person, visit the National Trust website, or call 0844 249 1895
