Gregory Porter Live at Colston Hall in Bristol on Wednesday 6th April 2016
Posted on: 17 Mar 2016Jazz and Soul colossus Gregory Porter will bring his incredible and unique performance to Bristol’s Colston Hall on Wednesday 6th April 2016. At the show he will be celebrating the release of his new album ‘Take Me To The Alley’ out on 6th May.
“Gregory Porter has most of what you want in a male jazz singer, and maybe a thing or two you didn’t know you wanted.” The New York Times
That quote just about perfectly sums up Porter as an artist and performer. He ticks every Jazz and Soul box...but then draws a few boxes of his own and fills those full of ticks too. Initially borne out of necessity, his now famous headgear is far from a gimmick; it’s so much associated with the man that it forms part of his identity and gives a certain mystique. That’s so very welcome in an age where we know everything from the marital status to the shoe size of everybody we hear on the radio.
**UPDATE** The show is now sold out but it’s definitely worth checking with the box-office for any returns. You really don’t want to miss this show. You can contact them on 0844 887 1500 or email hello@colstonhall.org
