Movie Night at The Wellington in Bristol on Monday 8 August 2016

Posted on: 28 Jul 2016

The Wellington pub on Gloucester Road in Bristol is running its very own Movie Night on Monday 8 August 2016 - and is giving YOU the chance to vote from four absolute cinematic classics.

The quadrilogy of filmic gems to choose from are Grease, E.T., Ghostbusters and Jurassic Park.

The spook-chasing, ecto-plasmic 1984 hit Ghostbusters is currently in the lead, presumably helped in no small part by the release of the latest all-girl Ghostbusters reboot currently cranking projectors across the city's multiplexes.

So, the question is: what slice of celluloid gold do you really want to see?

Is the John Travolta/Olivia Newton-John musical really the one that you want? (See what we did there?) Or perhaps Steven Spielberg's tear-jerking alien-befriends-boy classic ET floats your cinematic boat. Then again, the bearded maestro's 1993 dino blockbuster Jurassic Park might satisfy your T-rex sized cinematic appetite. Or you might go for the current favourite, the Dan Aykroyd/Bill Murray-starring legendary comedy-horror, Ghostbusters.

To vote simply head over to their Facebook page and leave a comment with which film you would like. The winning film will be screened at 8pm on the night. You can also share the Facebook event to be in with a chance of winning two hotdogs and a bag of popcorn on the night!

The Wellington is located - a few minutes stroll from The Memorial Stadium - at: Gloucester Road, Horfield, Bristol BS7 8UR.
